Pre-Season Freeride

Tignes, France

€ 495

2 December 2024

4 spaces

A super-early season week of freeriding and skill-building. Tignes has an outrageous record for early-season snow, with December often seeing some of the best turns of the season. We'll ride the best snow and terrain available, with the focus on shredding pow if conditions are good or on developing skills for the backcountry if they're less favourable. Everything from carving and steep turns to avalanche safety, navigation and splitboard skills.

Price is course only, plenty of accommodation options are available. We recommend Dragon Lodge. Riding days are Mon-Fri 2nd - 6th December.

Program:

5 days of riding from 2nd-6th December.

TRAVEL:

Tignes is a mega resort, with transfer options available from Geneva, Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble airports. The early-season dates can sometimes be tricky, let me know and I can advise further.

Riding level:

This course is for intermediate and up level riders with some backcountry experience. You should have at least 8-10 weeks riding experience and have at least some experience of enjoying turns in off-piste conditions.

fitness level:

You should have a reasonable level of fitness as we will very likely do some hiking during the week in order to find fresh lines. Usually about 1hr or 300m maximum.

Equipment required:

Standard snowboard gear. Avalanche safety equipment loan is included in the course price if you don't have your own. If we need snowshoe or splitboard gear, this can be rented locally.

additional costs (not included):

Travel, Accommodation, Meals, Lift Pass, Lunch & apres
